Baby theater

This was a very eventful day. After Bloco, lunch and a nap, it was time for some theater. The is called "the baby and the sea" and in a room full of soft toys this actress pretends to be a baby being born, then doing baby things and finally going to the beach. Lots of interaction with the little ones in the audience and in the end a big fun "all you can touch" party on stage.

We went with Sandra and Malu and the girls seemed to enjoy it!

While most of the kids played with the toys and props used in the play...

...Clara and Malu decided to explore the seats and stairs. Don't be fooled by these angel faves and sit down pictures. There was a lot of running around and going up and down the stairs to the chairs.

It's carnaval!!

Clara's first Bloco expirience. Carnaval season has officially begun.

The Bloco had not only music but also reading station, mask customization station and lots of kids in costumes!

We ran into Giovana, a friend from Blyss Yoga, and her adorable Alice.

When we came back, she did her bid where we pretends to be sleeping but keeps smiling, it's adorable.

Clube time

Our friend Karla, mother of João Pedro and baby Milena invited us to go to the club they are members at Lagoa. 

 

Clara loved it. At first she wanted to play with João but he was playing with a girl his age. So at first Clara played by herself and yelled joão's name in an attempt to get him to play with her.

But then she got tired of trying to get his attention and decided to make new amigos.

They helped her climb all the steps to get to the top of the house!

More bookstore fun

Our good friend Julia just wrote a children's biography book about one of the most famous brazilian artists ever, Carmen Miranda (think fruits on the head, that's her!)

Here we were enjoying ourselves at the launch party!

Summer vacation

I had to wake Clara up at 8am today so we could go out and enjoy the day (also to get her good and tired for her afternoon nap).

We got to enjoy the beach before it got too hot:

When we got back to the house, Clara had two servings of lunch. I guess the beach makes everyone hungry!

I asked her to smile for the camera but I guess I caught her half way there...

Told Robert that I think Clara is starting to get a feel of what Summer Vacation feels like! :)
